Install clean firmware, join Wi-Fi, and launch Vapor Vault from this computer. No phone or cloud account is required.

Choose the hardware and installation

C6 is the production target. C3 remains available for compatible existing units.

Factory install permanently erases the device.Encrypted notes, Wi-Fi settings, and all stored vault data will be removed.
Use current Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer.

Join Wi-Fi in the installer

Keep the installation dialog open. After flashing, it automatically continues to Wi-Fi setup over the same USB connection—exactly like the Beacon installer.

  1. Wait for the firmware installation to report that it is finished.
  2. Click Next in that same dialog.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
  4. Wait for Vapor Vault to confirm the connection and show its local address.
Home Wi-Fi ModeEnabled automatically so Console can find the vault.ON
Administrative ModeEnabled automatically for first-time setup.ON

Private Mode starts with temporary password 12345678. Console asks you to rename the network and choose a private password after the first successful vault unlock.

Launch Vapor Vault

When setup finishes, choose Launch Vapor Vault. The installer opens the device's actual local IP address, so this works even when vaporvault.local is unavailable.
